Being in your control is path to success

It is proven that most of the top performers in the world are basically full of emotional intelligence or high in EQ..no doubt about it.?.. The basic quality of high EQ is self control-if mastered releases massive energy and productivity keep the practitioner on track and highly focused.
Most of us do not even recognize this skill.  We ignore it to the extent that we do not think it is necessary to have self control over so many things on a day to day basis which distract us and make us less productive.
Failure to control yourself is -a failure. When you want to lose weight you fast or exercise for a few days and slowly you tend to eat more that what you were eating or quit exercises totally.  it is like taking 2 steps forward and 4 steps backward.
So, you must be wondering, what kind of people have higher EQ and self control which lead them to succeed...?  Lets read below carefully..
Forgiveness is a virtue
Successful people move on. They forgive themselves and others.  They do not have time and energy to dwell on emotions which lead to excess worrying and thinking behavior.  By constantly improving on our and other's past mistakes, we keep growing and freely flowing.  Rising above failures, taking constant risk and learning is how you take your EQ to higher level.
Saying "NO" isn't easy
Most of say "yes" to our friends, colleagues, bosses, parents, partners, etc and then end up having whole lot of problem which we cannot solve.  why? it is the most easiest way to get rid of a problem, a challenge, or please someone or keep your circle happy. It steals away your focus, on what you really need to do day in day out. and what to avoid. It may lead to stress, depression and psychological issues.  It decreases your commitment level towards your work, family, and society.
I am not "Perfect."
Learning to accept failure when we take risk also make us realize that we are not perfect. We keep improving and finding solutions to our problems and mistakes, hence we take 10 years to become a master of a craft, profession, or skill.  Trying to be perfect will end up blaming ourselves and demoralizing our own continuous efforts.  To work daily, smartly we need to be motivated, improve and remove obstacles.
Problems x3.
Less focus=higher problems.  We keep thinking, worrying about our problems and build a negative aura around us which lead to lesser self control.  We are less in actions and more worrying in nature.  Constantly finding solutions to problems and being active make us positive, and improves our EQ.
 “What if?”
Many times you must have asked this to yourself or others.  What if leads to increased worry and stress around you and lesser self control.   This again is similar to focusing on problems than solutions or actions.  We must plan what to do next, how to do, etc..but we cannot dwell on what is going to happen next and decrease our productive time and self control.
Eat, Sleep and Exercise
You may not hit the gym daily, sleep 8 hrs, or eat lots of salads and green veg to keep yourself healthy.  Daily 10 min of exercise, good amount of water, avoid junk food, and sleeping for 6 hrs is a MUST to keep your body and mind healthy.   Less of all these three lead to poor blood supply to all our vital organs and hence less productivity and EQ.

Relax, meditate.

For 5 minutes if you focus on your breathing, it improves self control. That is it. you do not have to go to forest to practice meditation.  You can be a self control machine by doing as little as that daily.

Avoid negative self talk

Watch your thoughts..what they are..how they affect you. By doing that you learn to discriminate between your negative and positive thoughts.  You may keep a diary to record your negative thoughts as an when they come.  This will help you to avoid them when they arrive. Sometimes you need to find out whether these negative thoughts are really true, by exploring, communicating with your near and dear ones, and then focusing on your right potential with positive thoughts.
